Day 11: Third and Final day of Parikrama. Drive back to Dongba.

(Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal. It is the cultural hub of the country. Apart from its
natural scenic beauty and green environment, Kathmandu is a spirited city with different
cultures blending in to create awe-inspiring art and cultural experiences. Temples and
monasteries represent the Hindu, Newari and Buddhist faiths.)
You are received in Kathmandu by a tour representative and transferred to the hotel. The
rest of the day is meant for relaxation. A detailed briefing about the yatra will be done in
the evening. Dinner will be served at the hotel. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, you shall proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. Visit
Pashupatinath Temple, Jalnarayana Temple (Sleeping Vishnu) and other remarkable places.
In the night, pack and prepare for the yatra. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, we commence our journey to get closer to mount Kailash.
Today’s halt will be at Dhunche/ Syabrubesi. You may rest at the hotel after the drive.
Overnight stay in Dhunche/Syabrubesi.
Today, you drive to Rasuwaghadi (45kms/1 hour) which is at the Nepal-Tibet
border. You’ll stop here for the immigration and customs formalities. After this, you’ll be
entering Tibet and driving to Kyirong County (105 kms/3 hours). Overnight stay will be in
Kyirong County.
Acclimatization will be the primary goal for the day. Relax and let your body adjust to the
high altitude. You can explore nearby treks during the day. Overnight stay in Kyirong
County.
After breakfast, you will drive closer to mount Kailash, along with the majestic view of the
Brahmaputra River and Paige-Tso Lake and arrive at Dongba. Overnight stay will be at
Dongba.
After breakfast, you’ll take a 7 hours drive to Mansarovar, the holy lake. A 110 km and 2
hours long parikrama of the freshwater lake will also be done on a vehicle. Overnight stay
will be at Mansarovar.
Enjoy the serene view of the lake. Take a holy bath in the mighty lake and offer your prayers
and offering. After the Puja, take a two hours drive to Darchen. Overnight stay will be in the
Darchen.
After breakfast in Hotel, commence your parikrama by driving to Yamdwar. After this,
you’ll trek for 10 km towards Dirapuk to witness the auspicious North face of Kailash.
Overnight stay will be at Dirapuk.
This will be the most challenging part of the parikrama. Post breakfast, you’ll
have to trek for 22kms to Dolma-La Pass and then to Zuthulpuk. After the trek along the
river, overnight stay will be at Zuthulpuk.
Today will be the last day of Parikrama, you will complete the remaining 8 km of the parikrama in
approximately 3 hours. After completing the divine parikrama you shall drive to Dongba via
Darchen. Overnight stay will be in Dongba.
After early breakfast, you shall proceed for Kyirong County. Overnight stay will be
in Kyirong.
Post breakfast, you shall drive to Rasuwaghadi and complete the
immigration formalities. After a drive of around 8-10 hours, you’ll arrive in Kathmandu.
Overnight stay will be in Kathmandu.
Your divine yatra comes to an end. After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the Kathmandu
airport for departure.
